Chicago plastic surgery with smaller incisions and an easier recovery

For 26 years, Dr. Sam Speron has built his practice around one idea: you heal better when surgery asks less of you. Many procedures are done in our accredited private suite without general anesthesia, and a car can bring you to the office and home again.

What comes with surgery here

Most practices charge separately for aftercare, or skip it. Dr. Speron’s surgical program includes it, because how you recover shapes how your result looks.

Minimal incision surgery

Results through shorter incisions, with less anesthesia and a shorter recovery where your procedure allows.

A car to your door

For consultations and major cosmetic surgery, a driver brings you to the office and home again.

A private surgical suite

An AAAASF-accredited operating room and recovery area built for one patient at a time.

Open seven days

Questions after surgery do not wait for Monday, and neither do we.

Post-op massage

Therapeutic massage from licensed therapists at our medical spa, at no charge.

Laser scar care

Complimentary laser treatments that start soon after surgery to soften scars.

Every follow-up visit

All post-operative check-ups are part of your fee. No surprise charges.

Meet Dr. Sam Speron

Dr. Speron opened his own practice in 2000 so he could spend real time with patients and know them for years, not one appointment. After two decades of listening to what people fear most about surgery — scars, anesthesia and a long recovery — he focused his work on minimal-incision techniques that aim for natural results and a faster return to normal life.

He also teaches. Medical students from Chicago Medical School train with him, and he holds faculty roles at the University of Dubuque and Kansas City University.

Questions patients ask first

How do I choose the right plastic surgeon in Chicago?

Look for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a long record with the specific procedure you want, a large set of before-and-after photos, and an accredited surgical facility (AAAASF or similar). Then trust how you are treated at the consultation.

How long is recovery from a facelift?

Most patients feel presentable and return to work in 10 to 14 days. Swelling and bruising fade quickly, while the final, refined result keeps settling over several months. See the facelift recovery timeline.

What does a consultation cost?

Consultations with our clinical team are free, seven days a week. Meeting Dr. Speron personally is a one-time $100 that covers every future consultation and all pre- and post-operative visits.

Is plastic surgery covered by insurance?

Cosmetic surgery is not. Reconstructive procedures often are, including breast reduction for symptoms, breast reconstruction, and removal of skin cancers or suspicious lesions. We can help you check your coverage.

What is the difference between liposuction and non-surgical body contouring?

Liposuction removes larger, targeted amounts of fat in one session. Non-surgical options such as CoolSculpting® have almost no downtime but usually need several sessions for a smaller change. Our medical spa offers both non-surgical options.

Do breast implants need to be replaced?

Modern implants do not have an expiration date, but they are not lifetime devices. You only need to replace them if a problem develops or you want a different size or style.
